I guess civil rights only flows one way...
FYI - just so everyone knows - I voted straight Democratic...McCain had a chance to win my vote, but campaigned like an idiot. And although I love Palin for her entertainment value - she doesn't represent a progressive agenda. I still have SERIOUS doubts about Barak Obama. He's too liberal, too self-righteous and everything I hate about Democrats. Hopefully, the reality of the country will have him take a moderate approach to governing with a strong global perspective.
He's got four years. I hope he works all four, but I suspect he'll work for two and start campaigning again in 2010.
Moreover, Gloria Borger hates women as polititians - even on election eve she didn't waste any time bashing Hillary whenever she could. Matthews and Olberman - total asses.
I will never again sit through their punditry or read ANYTHING they write.
Joe Biden won me over for Obama...as did Michelle Obama with a promise to take care of Veterans coming home. Lets hope she delivers.
AND, if Reverend Wright gets a White House dinner invitation- whoo hoo - can't wait for the media maelstrom to follow that...
Hopefully, people won't be pressured by the super liberal left when criticizing Obama - throughout the election - if you objected to his policy suggestions, it was because you were racist...total bullshit. He's wrong (in my opinion) on a lot of issues...that doesn't make me racist.
I'm grateful he was elected. I do feel hopeful, with a hint of nervousness...
Only time will tell if he's truly as brilliant as Oprah says or if he's Bush for the Democrats.
