So, I thought I'd get back to my no life, comic book reading, nerd posts.....(thanks to an anonymous pussy that commented on Rocco's blog for reminding me)
DC's OMAC Project #1 came out yesterday and as we all know Ted Kord, aka Blue Beetle II is dead. Well, in this issue - Booster Gold is getting out of the hospital and Wonder Woman comes by, picks him up and tells him she's concerned something might have happened to Blue Beetle. Well, duh.
Anyway, OMAC (Max Lord) is watching all this via a spooky looking satelite link in the sky, Batman has something to do with it....and I can't shake the feeling one of my all time favorite characters, Booster Gold is going to be killed.
Booster Gold came out in the 80's and was the first comic book I collected from issue #
1 until the day it was cancelled. I liked it because I loved Booster's costume, his attitude, his origin (connections to the Time Institute and the Legion of Superheroes), the art Dan Jurgens and the writing. He was a great character that grew a little in Justice League and became a joke with a backbone in the DC universe of late......
Anyway, so my sincere hope is that they don't kill him off....but, I have a fear that he'll be a casualty.....
i remember that character. the art was good but the writing was not. kill 'em off i say! ;)

OMAC is still in my unread pile - I opened it yesterday, saw the dead Beetle - flashed back to DC Countown and then got interrupted. DC seems to be cleaning house and doing resurrections at the same time. The theme is BIG CHANGE. I would not be surprized if everyone in the "FKATJL" group ended up in a mass grave somewhere by the end of the year. Including Keith Giffen and J.M. DeMatteis.
